The UCLGBTIA Listserve serves as the primary contact and information point between the campuses and labs. If you (or your friends) want to subscribe to the UCLGBTIA Listserv, just send the following message to majordomo@listlink.berkeley.edu:

If you want to unsubscribe, send the following message to majordomo@listlink.berkeley.edu:

unsubscribe uclgbtia-list

You don't need to include anything in the subject area and you don't need to write your name in the body of your message. All you need is the 2 word command. Simple, no?

Also, It's very helpful if you unsubscribe yourself before leaving the university (graduation, retirement, job change, whatever). If you don't, all of your mail starts bouncing back to the listkeeper, who has to sort it all out.
