Its purpose is to decide upon agenda items for the General Assembly, to conduct the administrative business and carry out the policies and activities of UCLGBTIA when the General Assembly is not in session, as well as to insure the continuity of the UCLGBTIA. The Steering Committee is also responsible for the accounting and administering of UCLGBTIA funds. Representatives serve terms of, at least, one year, with term limits defined by each campus. Each campus may send any number of members to SCOM meetings to consult on issues, but only representatives may cast a vote. Any UCLGBTIA member attending a SCOM meeting in person may request membership on the SCOM listserv. Votes are cast by campus, with each campus casting up to 4 votes on actions. UCLGBTIA membership maintains in contact via the UCLGBTIA Listserv. |
