Community Housing Homestay Program - deadline Feb. 10 to apply.

The WRCC is proud to announce the Homestay Program. Available to those for whom hotel stay poses financial hardship, the Homestay Program is a community housing program meant make the decision to "Come Out West" easier for everyone.

Attendees who qualify will stay with a volunteer host in the Davis community for the duration of the conference.

Please be advised that host homes are limited, so placement is not guaranteed. Placement is on first-come, first-served basis. Parties of multiple attendees may need to be split up as EACH ATTENDEE MUST APPLY SEPARATELY.

A Host Is...

  • Able to offer a warm place to stay for at least one WRCC participant for 2 nights (February 18th and 19th).
  • Able to communicate with his/her housemates prior to the home stay period to coordinate the visit.
  • A friendly person sensitive to LGBTQIA issues and familiar with the Davis downtown vicinity.
  • Transgender appreciative - understanding that not all conference participants will fall into binary gender identifies. As a host, we hope you will be friendly and sensitive to all gender identities/expressions.
  • A great person we’re lucky to have!

A Host Is NOT...

  • An expert on LGBTQIA issues.
  • Expected to feed his/her guest(s).
  • A babysitter.
  • Expected to transport his/her guests to/from conference site.
  • Looking for a hook up.

If you are interested in community housing provided by the Homestay Program, please email Ed'd Luna at edd.luna@gmail.com no later than February 10, 2005 with "Homestay" in the subject line.

  • Name
  • E-mail
  • Contact phone number
  • Reason for interest
  • If you are allergic to cats or dogs
  • What day/time you will arrive in Davis and leave Davis
